On 7 and 8 December 2023, the Association of Polish Cities Team will join forces with the Piła Municipal Authority in holding the “Energy Transition – Use of Green Energy in Modern Cities. SMART CITY Technologies as an Energy Management Tool” international conference in Piła. Organised under the aegis of the Speaker of the Wielkopolskie Voivodship, the event will coincide with the “Local Government Leaders of Governance 2023” Competition Gala, which is when winners and finalists of the Competition will be announced.
Organised as part of the “Local Development” Programme financed with the use of funds allocated to the 3rd edition of the Norway and EEA Grants for the years 2014–2021, the conference will be an excellent opportunity for thought and experience exchange, and learning from energy transformation leaders.
WHY IT IS WORTH ATTENDING
Inspiring presentations and a discussion panel: representatives of the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy, and Norwegian and German experts and local government officials will share best energy transition-related practices.
Unique local leader experience: success stories of Polish, Norwegian and German cities who have managed to introduce innovative green energy use solutions will be presented.
Local Development Forum: the first thematic block (with a live broadcast) will set up a platform allowing cities and towns to engage in dialogue and co-operate.
International partnerships: a meeting with representatives of Norwegian, Icelandic, Romanian and Latvian cities and towns will enable a global-scale exchange of experience.
National “Local Government Leaders of Governance 2023” Competition: participants will be introduced to winners of the 2023 Competition edition, with a focus on URBAN ENERGY TRANSFORMATION.
