Hrubieszów – Agreement with Ministry Signed
Negotiations with the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy have come to a finale concerning the implementation scope for the “Developing Hrubieszów Locally – Participation to Delivery” project forming part of the “Local Development” Programme.

On 21 December 2021, an agreement was entered into with the Ministry for purposes of delivering the project, funded from the EEA Financial Mechanism for the years 2014-2021.

The main project purpose is that of reaching sustainable socio-economic growth on a new development path through effective urban administrative structures, complete and open to progress. This in turn shall secure improvement in life quality for Hrubieszów residents.

In view of the agreement entered into with the Ministry for purposes of funding the “Developing Hrubieszów Locally – Participation to Delivery” project, the town established a “Local Development” Project Office, its activities funded fully from the EEA Mechanism. The office is located in a historical 19th-century manor.

The town intends to use EEA and Norway grants and assistance provided by the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy and the Association of Polish Cities[A1] for purposes of taking action to care for senior citizens’ needs by establishing a Day Care Centre (to be housed by the “Local Development” Project Office), and form a Creative Centre for Education and Economic Co-operation, its activities addressing young people, business entities and local governments. The local government of Hrubieszów will develop a passenger service Transportation & Communication Centre, protect historical architecture of Hrubieszów from dilapidation and oblivion, design an audio guide for urban tourist services, and improve local resident service quality at the Town Hall and its organisational units.
