A meeting with local residents was organised in Żary on 22 November in order to present outcomes of works completed, and plans for the upcoming years of the project “Żary, Here Is Where I want to Live!!!”

On 22 November at 12:00 noon, an open meeting for local residents was organised at the Castle Manor. Mayor of the town of Żary Danuta Madej opened with a brief description of the project’s origins. Her intervention was followed by Deputy Mayor Olaf Napiórkowski and Municipal Authority staff presenting outcomes of works completed, and plans for the upcoming of the project “Żary, Here Is Where I Want to Live!!!”

The project was co-designed by the Żary Municipal Authority staff and the Authority’s subordinate entities, local residents actively participating; extraordinary assistance was provided by the Association of Polish Cities’ Advisory Team.

The project was awarded “Local Development” Programme funding of EUR 3.5 million.
