The Network session was joined by representatives of the cities and towns of Żywiec, Zgierz, Włocławek, Konin, Kędzierzyn-Koźle, Jarocin and Hajnówka. All were active attendants of a two-day convention in Poznań, the agenda aligning multiple valuable events. Particularly significant items on the schedule included a workshop on effective communication in motivated teams, moderated by Łukasz Dąbrówka, Association of Polish Cities communication and collaboration expert. On day one, participants explored issues of team effectiveness and the importance of communication to reaching goals. On day two, the focus shifted to practical aspects of interpersonal communication, letting participants considerably improve their related competencies.

The presence of observers from the city of Leszno – represented by Magdalena Kuczma and Izabela Wojciechowska – augmented the debate, allowing experience exchange among multiple local government unit attendants. Planned as part of the Local Trends European Congress of Local Governments, the meeting invited participants to join a number of inspiring debates and discussions. One – with treasurer of the City of Konin Ewelina Ostajewska-Szwankowska – focused on contemporary local government financial systems. Another, moderated by EMPIRIAE expert Daniel Budzeń, explored Local Government Green Finance, and a vision of local-level sustainable financial management. EMPIRIAE members joined the extensive agenda of Local Trends day one which closed with a Gala Evening, the schedule including a presentation of the Local Government Green Finance Ranking (drafted by the Miasto Foundation in collaboration with the Association of Polish Cities and Poznań University of Economics and Business).

Notably, the EMPIRIAE Experience Exchange Network – URBAN RESOURCES / FINANCE is a collaboration and knowledge exchange platform targeting the local government community, backed by such experts as Agnieszka Dawydzik and Daniel Budzeń, and co-ordinated by Justyna Pietrzykowska. Every Network Session is a step forward in building stronger, more integrated and effective local government structures in Poland.
